Paid Training & Work Experience Programs for Youth
We have three youth programs designed to help youth (under 30) who are not-in-school or working to gain skills and plan their careers.
Opportunity Knocks: Youth, 15-30, will receive an hourly wage during the program, which consists of four weeks of pre-employment training and a 12-week job placement in the food industry.
Youth Job Connection: Youth, 15-29, will receive an hourly wage during the 11-day training program, which is designed to help participants figure out what type of careers interest them. Supports are available to help pay for transportation, clothing, equipment and to plan your next steps.
Retail Career Pathways Peak Basics: Youth, 17-29, will receive an hourly wage during the program, which consists of five weeks of customer service & pre-employment training and a 12-week job placement with a Retail type employer. Supports may also be available to help pay for transportation and clothing.
