Toronto Employment and Social Services is partnering with Toronto Paramedic Services to offer a training opportunity that will help Ontario Works recipients prepare for a job as a paramedic.
To qualify for the course, individuals must:
- be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent
- legally entitled to work in Canada (must be either a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, landed immigrant or hold a valid work permit)
- be fluent in English
- valid full “G” license
- have a clear criminal record
- be physically fit and be willing to do shift work
Over 90% of the last cohort was hired as and are now working as Primary Care Paramedics.
