“Code for Canada is a non-profit that connects government innovators with members of Canada’s thriving tech and design community. Applications for the 2018 Code for Canada fellowship are now open and will be accepted on a rolling basis until July 2, 2018 at 9 p.m. EDT. This program embeds digital professionals into government, where they can work on things that matter and ship software in the public interest.
2018 Code for Canada fellows will be based in Ottawa and Toronto, and will tackle meaningful public service challenges presented by our fellowship partners:
Fellows at City of Toronto Transportation Services will help implement the city’s Vision Zero road safety plan by prototyping innovative data products that engage residents and key stakeholders.
Fellows at the Public Service Commission of Canada will help deliver a more modern, inclusive, accessible and user-friendly experience for Canadians applying for jobs in the federal public service.
Fellows at Transport Canada will conduct user research with drone pilots, and prototype digital tools to help them fly safely and in accordance with new regulations.
The fellowship is a full-time, 10-month program, and fellows are paid the equivalent of a $75,000 salary.
